reporting issues/bugs on planet fedora [Jul. 8th, 2008|12:10 pm]
[Location |amsterdam, the netherlands]

We have received several reports from people who visited parents, relatives, etc. over the 4th of July weekend and saw strange rendering problems with Planet Fedora on various browser/OS combinations.

In response to that, we have set up a test matrix that anyone in our community can use to report either successful or problematic browser/OS combinations.

If you have a Windows box or a Macintosh near you, this is an easy way to do a little bit of testing that will be of benefit to the Fedora community.

Then take another 5 minutes to create your Fedora Account if you don't already have one, and report your success or bugs on the wiki.

If you have any suggestions or comments on the test matrix itself, please contact Ian Weller, who I would like to thank for putting together the initial version and testing guidelines.

Great !

Just added mine.

However, I'm not sure I did it correctly. You copied the whole code, with the syntax to make it appear as is.

I typed only the code, and it appears in a nice way. Should I have also copied all the "nowiki" stuff like you did ?

PS: sorry for the anonymous post, but I have neither an OpenID or a LiveJournal account.

I'm Bochecha in the history of the page edits.

Fedora 7 and Firefox 2 report

Don't want to register, so here is my report:
I use Fedora 7
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv: Gecko/20080416 Fedora/ Firefox/

Problem is only in mid area of page of planet, size bigger if Ctrl++ used to increase text size, scrolling up or down. Horizontal stripes that stay put on the same spot and the rest of the page seems to float under them when you scroll. Number and vertical size of these horizontal stripes depends how you scroll and how fast.
Whats is rendered inside these strips, also depends with what you scroll and how fast. Stripes flicker(up/down slight movement when scrolling with mousewheel or up/down keys and smoothscrolling ON). Cannot take screenshot because when focus is shifted to outside of firefox, like Application Menu, the firefox window redraws the page correctly.
But when I set "Smooth Scrolling" OFF from settings and scroll clicking on vertical scroll bar or using page up/down keys, rendering is OK!!! Mousewheel or up/down keys still show the problem.
Problem started maybe some 2+ weeks ago?
