red hat's new ceo [Jan. 4th, 2008|03:11 pm]
[Location |raleigh, nc]

Matt Asay interviewed Red Hat's new CEO, Jim Whitehurst. I thought this was a great interview. A lot of the things that Jim says really resonated with me, and I think that all of the Fedora folks out there will find themselves nodding their heads as they read it too.

ipods play ogg :)

Just tell Jim Whitehurst when you meet him that ipods run ogg thanks to project called rockbox. I listen only to ogg podcasts on my ipod nano.

Re: ipods play ogg :)

Yeah, but they don't play it natively.

I bought a DAP that plays Oggs natively, because I wanted to support the idea that commercial devices should support open standards. (Not to mention that I like the way Oggs sound over MP3s.)
