I just wanted to put up a quick post with the latest around FUDCon.
Here's what we *do* know: FUDCon will be Friday August 3rd - Sunday August 5th. It will be similar to the February FUDCon, in the sense that Saturday and Sunday will be a hackfest, and Friday will be a BarCamp.
Potential hackfest topics include: yum (again), Revisor, Revisor Web App, Infrastructure, Statistics/Metrics/Data Mining, Koji. These are just off the top of my head. I'll get a wiki page set up shortly that allows people to actually sign up to "run" a hackfest, and then those folks can organize from there.
The only problem is location, and that is what we still need to confirm. At first we wanted to do it in Raleigh, but I've heard from a bunch of the Red Hat engineers that travel from Boston at the time we're looking at is going to be very complicated, so from the perspective of getting a critical mass of people at the event, we might need to do it up in Boston again.
I fear that there may be one or two people who already made some adjacent plans around the assumption that FUDCon will be in Raleigh. If that's true, and the plans can't be changed, we'll help you out if we have to make the location in Boston.
I'm hopeful that we can get Boston University again for free. More updates as they come.
