dreaming about bugs

I filed a bug yesterday that, at the time, I thought was some debugging code that had been left in place by mistake. It turns out that it is debug code that is still in place on purpose, but that will be removed before the final release of F8.

That's not the point of this post, though.

I normally don't remember my dreams, but last night I had a dream that I booted Fedora and that every line of the screen had a typo in it -- apostrophes in the wrong place, words spelled like 'teh' instead of 'the', etc. And I was opening up pages in bugzilla as fast as possible trying to get them fixed.

No wonder I've woken up early, and still sleepy.

a web 2.0 idea

Someone has probably already done this.

It's popular on lots of blog and websites these days to let the users tag posts with keywords that they see fit. If I were to enable such a feature on my blog here, then people might come through and tag some posts "fedora" and others "fedora project".

Here's the feature that would be necessary, IMHO:

A "tag administration" section that allows the administrator to say something like: the "fedora" and "fedora project" tags are really the same thing, so with a single click I want to re-tag everything "fedora project" to "fedora" or the other way around. Either that, or something which somehow associates those two tags, so that a tag search for "fedora" also gives you everything marked "fedora project".

Does that make sense?
